Scents for luck and new beginnings
Citrus, cinnamon, frankincense and sweet orange are the scents most often burned, worn or placed at a threshold when something is beginning — a new year, a new shop, a first day. They are bright, warm and carrying, and across several traditions they belong to openings rather than endings.
Whether that moves fortune is not a claim we can make or test. What a scent reliably does is mark a moment, and a marked moment is approached differently from an unmarked one. That is not nothing, and it is honest about what is happening.
If you are choosing a scent for a beginning, choose one that is bright on first contact and still there in the ten minutes before you walk in.
How these scents are used
Before, not after
Worn in the pause before the meeting, the negotiation, the opening day — not once it is over. The point is the state you walk into the room with.
A morning intention
Three drops, one breath, one purpose named out loud. It takes twenty seconds and it is the difference between a day you chose and a day that happened to you.
Where to put it
The wrist and the side of the neck. Warm places, where it lifts as you move.
In the room as well as on you
A warm citrus, spice and resin profile carries, so it can be diffused through a space before the day begins rather than worn alone. The room reads differently when someone walks into it.
What it is not
These are cosmetic products for external, aromatic use. References to fortune and prosperity describe traditional and experiential use. They are not a prediction, a remedy, or a substitute for anything.
The morning ritual
- One pass at each wrist and at the side of the neck, before the day starts.
- Three slow breaths. Name one thing you want to go well.
- Reapply in the pause before anything that matters.
The blend we made for it
VENTURA 迎光 is the signature of Collection 01, composed for beginnings — named for the luck you meet halfway. Frankincense over wild orange and ginger: bright, then floral, then spice and resin, drying down warm and grounded. It fills a space rather than staying at the wrist.
The morning something begins, and you cannot yet tell whether it will go well. One pass at the wrist and the side of the neck, and one thing named out loud. The day is no more certain than it was. You are meeting it differently.

Questions
Which scents are associated with luck?
Citrus, cinnamon, frankincense and sweet orange appear most often across traditions, usually at openings and new years rather than at endings.
When should I wear it?
Before the thing, not after. Mornings, first days, and the pause before you walk in.
Does it actually bring good fortune?
We will not claim that. What it does is mark a moment deliberately, which changes how you meet it.
Can I use it in a diffuser?
Yes. It carries well enough to work in a room before the day begins, not only on the skin.
